The 3 Prongs of Presence - Leadership Presence with Self, Others and in Community
June 20-21, 2011
About the Program
We commonly hear the terms “Leadership or Executive Presence” used to describe that special something that a leader has (or maybe doesn’t have). It is held as an elusive qualitysomething we “can’t quite put our finger on”and attributed to a leader’s height, voice, persona, etc. As coaches and leadership practitioners, we hold that presence is instead both identifiable and learnable. It is an inside and outside experience in multiple domainspresence with yourself, with others, and in the communities or on the platform in which you lead.
Please join us June 20 and 21, 2011 from 9-5 pm to explore the 3 Prongs of Presence. This program is intended for practicing coaches. During the Program, you will:
• Examine what it means to “have presence” as well as “be present” as a leader.
• Gain new concrete distinctions regarding presence in yourself and your leadership clients.
• Identify specific actions and practices that you can immediately use with your coaching clients.
• Expand your capacity to coach more confidently and effectively in the somatic domain.
• Increase alignment between your intention and impact through movement, feedback and practices.
What You’ll Need to Bring
We will be working with real client cases throughout the program. We will also be working with ourselves as instruments of what it means to be present and have presence. As part of the pre-work, we will ask you to bring at least one real client situation. We will also ask you to think about your own presence, what is working and not, and what additional congruency you want to create between your intention and impact.
